On 24 April 2024 in Brussels, Belgium, Her Excellency TOUCH Sopharath, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, and Mr. Mario Ronconi, Head of Unit of Directorate General of International Partnerships of the European Union, co-chaired the Subgroup on Cooperation on the sideline of the 12th Cambodia-EU Joint Committee. 

During the meeting, both sides took stock of the overall strategic framework of cooperation partnership of Multi-Annual Indicative Plan (MIP) 2021-2024. The meeting also discussed Cambodia’s priorities for 2025-2027 and ways to align the EU’s support with the Pentagonal Strategy-Phase 1 through a wide range of cooperation areas, including public financial management, social protection, agriculture and natural resources, education and skill development, industrial value chains, Global Gateway (sustainable and trusted connections that work for people and the planet) and investments, environment and climate change, ASEAN cooperation, civil society, youth and gender.
