On 25 April, His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by Her Excellency Hala Youssef Ahmed Ragab, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of Cambodia with residence in Bangkok.

The two sides noted with satisfaction the friendship and good cooperation between Cambodia and Egypt since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1953. They expressed their commitment to further deepening and enhancing bilateral cooperation,  and extending mutual support in the international arena for the common interests of the two nations.

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Her Excellency the Ambassador agreed to work towards establishing a bilateral consultation mechanism between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs to serve as a platform for exploring ways to unlock other potential fields of cooperation.
