On 27 August 2002, at 16:30, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Samdech Prime Minister HUN Sen of the Kingdom of Cambodia will preside over the signing by His Excellency Senior Minister HOR Namhong, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and His Excellency Mr. Gotaro Ogawa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia, on two Exchanges of Notes of Japan's Grant Aid up to ¥ 2,422,000,000 (equivalent to 20 million US dollars).

The Royal Government of Cambodia will use the Japanese Grant Aid for human resource development scholarship project
(Â¥ 366,000,000) to be carried out by 31 March 2003 and for flood protection and drainage improvement in the Municipality of Phnom Penh (Â¥ 2,056,000,000) to be executed by 31 March 2004.
