Rewarding Decoration MOHASENA to Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia

 

 

 On 17 August 2009, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Deputy Prime Minister HOR Namhong, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, rewarded Kingdom’s Decoration MOHASENA to the outgoing Japanese Ambassador His Excellency Mr. KATSUHIRO Shinohara.

His Excellency Mr. Shinohara said it’s his great honour to be awarded MOHASENA Decoration from the Cambodian government. He expressed his gratitude to the Cambodian government’s institutions and Japanese organizations for good cooperation in leading to his successful mission in Cambodia.

His Excellency Ambassador added when he retires, he will work in private sector and he will be ready to cooperate with Cambodian people in various fields like Education and other social activities, and he requested for support from His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and colleagues for his future work. 

 

President of JHP meets with

Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong

 

On 17 August 2009, Ms. Mieko Osanai, President of Japanese Team of Young Human Power (JHP) was allowed to meet His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Ms. Mieko Osanai said that until now her organization has built 235 schools for children nationwide and focused on education for orphans, introduced Japanese volunteers to Cambodia to help train musicians, teach children how to draw pictures and import music instruments from Japan. For 2008-2010, her organization plans its budget of nearly 3 million dollars on the above areas.

In his reply, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister thanked Ms. Mieko Osanai and said her humanitarian activities have three aspects as follows:

1-  Social affairs: providing good future, good knowledge to children.

2- Buddhist way: Buddha instructs people to well behave and perform   humanitarian

                              activities.

3-  Politics: Helping two peoples of Japan and Cambodia know each other well and

                    understand the value of aid from government and other Japanese

                   organizations.
