On the afternoon of May 5, 2025, H.E. Ambassador UK Sarun, accompanied by Mrs. TAN Uttary, First Secretary, had a meeting with Mr. Daniel RIGNAUL, Attaché for Educational Cooperation of the French Institute in Egypt, and his colleague at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia. On the occasion, Mr. Daniel RIGNAULT requested the Royal Embassy of Cambodia to be the president of the Group of Francophonie in Egypt next year, as Cambodia will host the Francophonie Summit in 2026. In response, H.E. Ambassador UK Sarun informed Mr. Daniel RIGNAULT of his acceptance of the Presidency of the Francophonie Group in Egypt with pleasure and requested cooperation from the French Embassy and the French Institute in Egypt.
