Her Excellency CHRING Botumrangsay visits Hungary to co-chair the Second Session of Political Bilateral Consultations


Her Excellency CHRING Botumrangsay, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, paid a visit to Hungary on 21 November 2025, where she and His Excellency Péter Sztáray, State Secretary for Security Policy and Energy Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, co-chaired the Second Session of Political Bilateral Consultations between the two Foreign Ministries.

 

Both sides reaffirmed their long-standing friendship and excellent cooperation, which have flourished across a wide range of shared interests, as reflected in the frequent and fruitful engagements between the high-level leaders of our two countries. The two sides also looked forward to the meaningful celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations in 2026. They underscored the significance of the Political Consultations mechanism and high-level exchanges in advancing political, economic, and developmental cooperation.

The Co-Chairs exchanged views and outlined practical steps to expand cooperation in key areas, such as trade and investment, water resource management, agriculture and agro-industry, energy, education, health, and tourism.

 

They also discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern, including updates on the Cambodia–Thailand border situation, and reiterated their commitment to promoting peace and stability.
