On the afternoon of 27 November 2025, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Thongloun SISOLITH, President of Lao PDR and Secretary General of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party in Vientiane.

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister extended best wishes for the successful convening of the 12th LPR Party Congress, scheduled for early 2026, and reaffirmed Cambodia's commitment to working together to promote political, economic, socio-cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister also conveyed warmest regards and heartfelt congratulations from Samdech Techo HUN Sen, President of the Senate, and Samdech Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on the auspicious occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the National Day of the Lao PDR in the upcoming December and looked forward to the meaningful commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of Cambodia-Laos diplomatic relations in 2026.
