On the morning of 9 September 2025, His Excellency YEAP SAMNANG, Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, participated in the ASEAN Senior Officials' Meeting (SOM) in Port Dickson, Malaysia.

The Meeting discussed (1) Timor-Leste’s accession into ASEAN; (2) The application and implementation of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC); (3)ASEAN external relations, including applications for formal partnerships; and (4) the preparations for the upcoming 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in October 2025.
