On the morning of 31 October 2025, His Excellency Dr. UN Kheang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received His Excellency Jonathan KINGS, Ambassador of New Zealand to the Kingdom of Cambodia, with residence in Bangkok, at the Ministry.

The two sides discussed issues of mutual interests, including bilateral trade, investment, and development cooperation. Both sides also discussed ways to establish regular political consultations between the two countries' foreign ministries to further strengthen cooperation and mutual understanding between the two countries. His Excellency the Ambassador reaffirmed New Zealand’s support for the recent Joint Declaration between Thailand and Cambodia, which was signed in Malaysia under the witness of His Excellency Donald J. Trump, President of the United States and Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Abrahim of Malaysia.
