On 20 March 2024, His Excellency KHUON Phon Rattanak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by Dr. François ROGER, Regional Director for French Agricultural Research Center for International Development (CIRAD), at the Ministry. 

During the meeting, the two sides reiterated the ongoing efforts to conclude the draft Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Government of the French Republic on the Status of CIRAD in the Kingdom of Cambodia. Dr. François ROGER took the opportunity to brief on activities implemented by CIRAD in Cambodia along with its strategic action plan. In response, His Excellency Secretary of State expressed his satisfaction and confidence in France's active cooperation through CIRAD in supporting the priority areas in Cambodia and efforts toward achieving strategic partnership between Cambodia and France.
