On 8 April 2024, His Excellency PRAK Nguon Hong, Secretary of State of the Ministry of   Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, had a meeting with Mr. Gary Ward, General Manager Engagement of the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, at the Ministry to discuss New Zealand’s scholarships for Cambodia, especially the English Language Training for Cambodian Officials (ELTO) programme.

His Excellency Secretary of State expressed his profound thanks to the New Zealand Government for providing scholarships for long and short term to Cambodian youth and officials, particularly English training courses under the ELTO programme since 1995 and highly valued the New Zealand Government’s commitment in supporting for human resources development to Cambodia that is a priority of the Royal Government of Cambodia and requested the New Zealand side to consider increasing the number of scholarships for long and short term for Cambodian youth and officials, especially adding more training courses for diplomats on negotiation skill, public speaking, writing report and economic diplomacy.
