On 09 April 2024, His Excellency MEAS Kim Heng, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Cambodia’s SOM Leader for Mekong, co-chaired the Senior Officials’ Meeting of Mekong-Republic of Korea Cooperation (Mekong-ROK SOM) with His Excellency KIM Dong-bae, Director-General for ASEAN and Southeast Asian Affairs, SOM Leader for Mekong Cooperation, participated by all Mekong SOM Leaders via videoconference.

The Meeting reviewed the progress of the Mekong-ROK cooperation and transferred the Co-Chairmanship from Cambodia to Lao PDR.
