23 May 2024, at Washington DC, United States of America, His Excellency KUNG Phoak, had a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Daniel J. Kritenbrink, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, to discuss potential cooperative areas under the ASEAN-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and priorities as Cambodia will assume the role of Country Coordinator for ASEAN-U.S. Dialogue Relations (2024-2027). Both sides also shared their views on the regional and international issues which are of common and interest and concern.
