On the evening of 14 July 2025, at the invitation of Her Excellency Vanlalvawna Bawitlung, Ambassador of India to Cambodia, His Excellency Dr. Khy Sovanratana, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, presided over the celebration of the North-East India Day, held at the Secondary School of Fine Arts, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh. 

Speaking to the audience of about 200 Northeast Indian diaspora who are currently living and working in Cambodia, His Excellency Secretary the Secretary of State congratulated the celebration of the North-East India Day and highlighted the similarities in culture, traditions and customs between Cambodia and Northeast India as well as the excellent relations and fruitful cooperation between the two nations from the ancient time to the present.
