On the afternoon of 9 September 2025, His Excellency YEAP SAMNANG, Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, had a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Kevin Kim, Senior Bureau Official for East Asian and Pacific Affairs and Acting U.S. SOM Leader, on the sidelines of the ASEAN SOM and Related Meetings in Port Dickson, Malaysia.

Both sides discussed potential cooperation areas under the ASEAN-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership​ and also exchanged views on Cambodia-U.S. bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of common interests and concerns.
