On the morning of 17 September 2025, at the Ministry, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a farewell courtesy call by His Excellency Sardar Umar Alam, UNESCO Representative to the Kingdom of Cambodia, on the conclusion of his tenure in Cambodia.

During the meeting, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister commended His Excellency Sardar Umar Alam for his dedicated efforts and UNESCO’s valuable contributions to advancing Cambodia’s development priorities, especially in education, culture and heritage preservation. H.E. Sardar Umar Alam expressed his deep gratitude to the Royal Government of Cambodia for the close and fruitful cooperation extended throughout his mission.
