On 15–16 September 2025, H.E. Mrs. TOUCH Sopharath, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Alternate Cambodia’s SOM Leader for Mekong Cooperation, led a Cambodian delegation to attend the 13th Mekong–ROK Business Forum and Mekong–Japan Senior Officials’ Meeting, held in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.

The Mekong–Japan SOM, co-chaired by Japan and Viet Nam, focused on preparations for the upcoming 13th Mekong–Japan Summit in Kuala Lumpur in October 2025. Meanwhile, the 13th Mekong-ROK Business Forum, themed “Digitalisation and Innovation: A Catalyst for Mekong-ROK Business Transformation and Cooperation”, co-organized by the Republic of Korea and Viet Nam, serves as a platform to strengthen collaboration, address economic challenges, and promote sustainable development.
