As stated in the Press Release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, No. PR 33/2025 MFA.IC, dated 17 September 2025, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, sent a letter expressing his concerns over the developments of the Cambodia–Thailand border situation to His Excellency Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia and current Chair of ASEAN.  Samdech Thipadei also sent letters to His Excellency Donald Trump, President of the United States of America; His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of China; His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of France; Her Excellency Annalena Baerbock, President of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly; as well as His Excellency António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations. The contents of those letters are similar to the one addressed to His Excellency the Prime Minister of Malaysia. In this regard, the MFA.IC wishes to release the letter from Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister, addressed to His Excellency António Guterres as follows.
