On the morning of the same day, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a bilateral discussion with His Excellency Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, on the sidelines of the General Debate of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States of America.

The Deputy Prime Minister briefed on the latest updates on the border’s disputes with Thailand. He reiterated Cambodia's position to making every effort to de-escalate the tensions, rebuild trust and implement fully and sincerely the recent agreements towards normalization of Cambodia-Thailand bilateral relations.

Towards the end of this meeting, both foreign ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation within the Framework of The Stipendium Hungaricum Programme for the Years 2026-2028.
