On the morning of the same day, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a bilateral Meeting with His Excellency Sergey Lavrov, Minister of the Russian Federation, on the occasions of the General Debate of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States of America.

The two foreign ministers extended their best regards to each other after previous their meeting at the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Deputy Prime Minister briefed on the latest updates on the border’s disputes with Thailand. He reiterated Cambodia's position to making every effort to de-escalate the tensions, rebuild trust and implement fully and sincerely the recent agreements towards normalization of Cambodia-Thailand bilateral relations.
