On the morning of 9 October 2025, Her Excellency CHRING Botumrangsay, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), led representatives from the SoonChunHyang University Seoul Hospital of the Republic of Korea and the Economic Diplomacy Coordinating Group of MFAIC on a field visit to Prey Chan and Chouk Chey Villages, O Bei Choan Commune, O Chrov District, Banteay Meanchey Province.
The purpose of the mission was to observe firsthand the impacts caused by the Cambodia–Thailand border conflict and to deliver humanitarian assistance to the affected villagers. The support included two tons of rice donated by the Economic Diplomacy Coordinating Group of MFAIC and medical supplies provided by the SoonChunHyang University Seoul Hospital for the residents affected by the laying of barbed wire fences around the villages by Thai soldiers. During the visit, H.E. Secretary of State also met with H.E. Oum Reatrey, Governor of Banteay Meanchey Province, and other relevant local authorities.
