On 23 October 2025, His Excellency MEAS Kim Heng, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Project Manager of the Project Management Unit for the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund, chaired an inter-ministerial meeting on “Project Implementation of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation 2025,” with representatives from the implementing agencies of 11 line ministries and institution involved in the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund 2025, at the Ministry.

These 11 projects will deliver significant benefits across a diverse range of fields, including tourism, health, agriculture, the conservation and restoration of cultural sites, the promotion of women’s entrepreneurship, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), the enhancement of productivity and digital adoption among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), as well as efforts to combat fake news and raise awareness of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation framework.
