On the afternoon of the same day, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a bilateral talk with Her Excellency Allison Hooker, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the U.S. Department of State on the margins of the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

​His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the United States' strong commitment and support to help peacefully resolve the conflict between Cambodia and Thailand, which led to the Peace Agreement between the two countries, as peace is the most precious treasure that forms the foundation of all developments in nations. 

This year marks the 75th anniversary of Cambodia-U.S. Diplomatic Relations. As Cambodia is currently the Country Coordinator for ASEAN-U.S. Dialogue Relations, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Cambodia's commitment to further strengthen and deepen the relationship and partnership between the two countries.
