In the morning of 19 May 2023, H.E. Mr. KE Sovann, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Professor Sarah H. Cleveland, U.S. Candidate as a Judge to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for the term 2024-2033. During the meeting, both sides emphasized the great importance of the ICJ in the peaceful settlement of international disputes and its enormous contribution to the maintenance of international peace and security and shared the view that elected judges should be persons of integrity, independence, and impartiality.
