Opening Ceremony of the 18th International Tipitaka Chanting


On 02 December 2023, His Excellency KOY Kuong, Ambassador of Cambodia to India, co-presided with Hon. Rajendra Arleka, governor of Bihar state of India, over the Opening Ceremony of the 18th International Tipitaka Chanting under the Sacred Bodhi Tree where The Lord Buddha found enlightenment.

The 18th Annual Tipitaka Chanting ceremony will be from 02 to 12 December 2023, with participation of over 10,000 Buddhist monks and people from 11 countries and a Buddhist organization. Over 2,000 monks and people have been from Cambodia, including Samdech Preah Abhisiri Sugandha Mahasangharajah Dhipati Bour Kry, and a State Secretary of the Ministry of Cult and Religion. The Cambodia Maha Sangha has hosted this ceremony this year and next year. The International Tipitaka Chanting Council has initiated the annual Tipitaka Chanting Ceremony under The Sacred Bodhi Tree since 2006.
