On 29 April 2025, His Excellency KUNG Phoak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia, participated in the ASEAN Senior Officials' Meeting (SOM) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Meeting discussed ASEAN Community Building efforts, the implementation of the Roadmap for Timor-Leste’s Full Membership in ASEAN, the application to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC), ASEAN external relations, and the preparations for the upcoming 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, to be held on 26-27 May 2025.
