On the morning of 2 May 2025, Her Excellency EAT Sophea, Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, had a meeting with His Excellency Bawitlung Vanlalvawna, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Kingdom of Cambodia, during which she exchanged views with the envoy on Cambodia-India relations. 

Both sides noted with satisfaction the growing ties between the two countries and discussed further enhancement of cooperation in potential areas, especially trade, investment, tourism, human resource development, and people-to-people connectivity. Her Excellency Permanent Secretary of State recalled with deep appreciation the support of the Indian government for Cambodia’s socio-economic rehabilitation and development, including the conservation of ancient temples.

Both sides also discussed cooperation under multilateral frameworks and exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest and concern.
