On 10 June 2025, His Excellency KUNG Phoak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia, attended the East Asia Summit Senior Officials’ Meeting (EAS SOM) in Penang, Malaysia. 

The Meeting discussed the progress on the implementation of the EAS Plan of Action (2024-2028) and exchanged of views on regional and international developments of common concern and interest. The Meeting further deliberated on preparations for the 15th EAS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting which is scheduled to be held on July 2025 and for the 20th East Asia Summit to be held in October 2024.
