On 24 June 2025, Her Excellency Eat Sophea, Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia met with His Excellency Andrew Byers, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for South and Southeast Asia and accompanying delegation to exchange views on avenues for enhancing relations and cooperation between Cambodia and the United States. 

Both sides agreed on the importance of increasing high-level exchanges. They reaffirmed shared commitment to further strengthening the momentum of good cooperation in defense and other areas, as the two countries celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties, this year.
