On the morning of 6 July 2025, His Excellency Dr. UN Kheang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation​,  co-presided over the Ambassador’s Shield Football 2025 alongside His Excellency Shaharuddin Onn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

His Excellency the Secretary of State and His Excellency the Ambassador each delivered brief remarks, expressing their strong support for organizing friendly sporting events between the Ministry, the Malaysian Embassy and the Malaysian community in Cambodia. They underscored the importance of such initiatives in strengthening friendship, solidarity, and sports diplomacy, while also promoting bilateral cooperation, community engagement, and people-to-people ties between Cambodians and the Malaysian community in Cambodia. Both dignitaries also highlighted the growing partnership between the two countries, evidenced by frequent high-level exchanges and expanding collaboration across a wide range of sectors.
