On 10 July 2025, His Excellency PRAK Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a discussion with His Excellency IWAYA Takeshi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, on the sidelines of the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting and Related Meetings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This Meeting took place again after the two foreign ministers met during the Official Working Visit of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet to Japan in May 2025, to further promote existing bilateral cooperation and long-standing Cambodia-Japan friendship.
