On 31 July 2025, Her Excellency EAT Sophea, Permanent Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, had a cordial conversation with 25 Cambodian students who are set to commence their studies in August 2025 under the scholarship of Human Resource Development (JDS) and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT) for Master and Doctoral Degrees. The 25 students will pursue their studies at various universities in Japan in the fields of International Relations, Public Administration, Economics, Infrastructure, Agriculture and Rural Development, Education and Healthcare.

Her Excellency EAT Sophea advised the students to maintain solidarity and study hard to acquire valuable knowledge to support national development and to serve as goodwill ambassadors cementing ties between the peoples of Cambodia and Japan and promoting the culture and prestige of Cambodia.

She wished the students a safe trip to Japan and success in their studies.
