On the morning of 26 September 2025, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a bilateral discussion with His Excellency Alva Baptiste, Minister of External Affairs of Saint Lucia, on the margins of the General Debate of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States of America.

The Deputy Prime Minister briefed on the latest updates on the border’s disputes with Thailand. He reiterated Cambodia's position to making every effort to de-escalate the tensions, rebuild trust and implement fully and sincerely the recent agreements towards normalization of Cambodia-Thailand bilateral relations.

Both foreign ministers also attended the Signing Ceremony of the Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Kingdom of Cambodia and Saint Lucia.
