On the morning of 8 October 2025, at the Ministry, Her Excellency CHRING Botumrangsay, Secretary of State, had a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Shovgi Mehdizada, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Cambodia, with residence in Hanoi. 

During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the bilateral relations and close cooperation in areas such as trade, tourism, education, mine clearance, etc. Both sides reiterated their commitment to further elevating bilateral and multilateral cooperation to a new height. In addition, Her Excellency the Secretary of State briefed the Ambassador on the latest updates on the border disputes with Thailand, and reaffirmed Cambodia’s firm position and commitment to peaceful resolution and full implementation of the recent agreement towards the normalization of Cambodia-Thailand bilateral relations.
