On 10 December 2025, Her Excellency CHRING Botumrangsay, Secretary of State, and His Excellency Dominic Williams, His Majesty’s Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Cambodia, co-chaired the 3rd Round of Bilateral Political Consultations in Phnom Penh, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthening Cambodia-UK ties.

Both sides welcomed deeper cooperation in trade and investment, and reaffirmed their partnership in tourism, education, demining, climate change, development, and defense, along with promoting more frequent high-level exchanges in both directions.

The two Co-Chairs further discussed the growing challenge of online scams while acknowledging that this is a global issue and emphasized the need for strengthened cooperation and collective action to effectively combat this shared concern.

Both sides discussed in detail ongoing regional and international issues of common concern, particularly the border conflict between Cambodia and Thailand, while emphasizing the importance of protecting civilians, continuing to uphold the ceasefire agreement, and returning to the negotiating table.

This consultation marks a positive step forward in advancing friendship and mutual benefit for both nations.
